On the first day, there were safety concerns as G-Dragon was among the unruly crowd. However, netizens were touched upon hearing the full story. He was making his way towards a bedridden fan who needed a breathing tube and still attended the concert (though the crowd made it difficult to get all the way over to him).

Netizens commented on the initial backlash G-Dragon received for the daring move, though he had pure intentions. Additionally, they blamed the rowdiness of the fans.

  • “Seeing this and calling him arrogant or saying he doesn’t care about fans’ safety is ridiculous, lol. GD realized he was being a bit over the top and that it was dangerous, so he apologized and asked people to step back a little to avoid getting hurt.”
  • “For real”
  • “GD probably had good intentions, but it must have been frustrating because of the lack of order “
  • “Wow”
  • “There’s literally no reason for the singer to be getting hate for this..”
  • “Isn’t the problem the fans, not GD? I’ve never seen anything like this before”
  • “Honestly, it’s the fans’ fault; he wasn’t even going into the seating area, just following the usual route, but everyone rushed out.”
  • “Exactly. When GD does fan service like this, he usually even lets fans touch his face, and there’s never been this kind of bad behavior before”
  • “I’ve never seen fans act this disrespectfully before.”
