Concerned about Sasha’s health, DeMarco took her to a neurologist, fearing hydrocephalus might be the cause of the puppy’s struggles.

With the specialist’s guidance and a strict daily medication routine, fluids, and tube feeding, Sasha gradually improved. By her 12-week birthday, she had regained her playful, affectionate spirit.

“Sasha is a very calm, gentle puppy,” DeMarco shared, adding that she may eventually adopt Sasha permanently. “This isn’t your typical puppy. She loves to be close, often snuggling beside me or sitting on my foot.”

Although Sasha’s journey remains uncertain, she is surrounded by love, commitment, and dedicated care. “This little puppy is incredibly inspiring,” DeMarco noted. “Despite her health challenges, Sasha’s spirit is strong, and her will to live is unmistakable.”

Sasha’s supporters can follow her progress on Facebook and contribute to her care through the FURRR 911 website.

Update: Sasha crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March 2018, shortly after her six-month birthday. She brought joy and love to her human, canine, and feline friends during her short life.
