Husky Rescued After Getting Stuck in Sewer Drain

Animal control officers in Lexington, Kentucky, were surprised when they received a report about a husky trapped in a sewer drain.

Upon arrival, they discovered Sebastian, a large husky wedged under the road, peeking through a crack in the concrete slabs.

“We’re not sure how he ended up there,” a Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control representative told The Dodo. “We think he might have entered through the drain pipe and couldn’t find his way back out.”

Despite his predicament, Sebastian remained cheerful. The officers quickly began removing the drain cover to reach him more easily.

In a lighthearted Facebook post, Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control shared, “Sebastian had always wanted to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but instead, he met a couple of Animal Control Officers!”

Before long, Sebastian was out of the drain and back on solid ground, safe and sound. At the animal control facility, his family was relieved and excited to hear that their beloved pet was safe. They planned to pick him up as soon as possible.

While at the rescue, Sebastian made new friends and seemed to enjoy his unexpected adventure. “He had a blast being rescued and enjoyed his stay,” the representative added. “I would do it again.”
