In Maybee, Michigan, Lucky Puppy doggy daycare made waves as thirty-nine dogs of various breeds dove into a custom-built, bone-shaped pool to beat the summer heat.

Brenda Langley, the 60-year-old animal enthusiast behind this innovative event, was inspired by her experiences swimming with dogs in her above-ground pool.

Langley’s commitment to the dogs’ enjoyment shines through, with each pup enjoying up to four hours of pool time daily.

“Watching them enjoy life during pool time is priceless,” Langley remarked. The 20 x 40ft in-ground pool features a shallow end, ensuring safety for non-swimmers and smaller breeds.

The dogs’ sheer joy as they dashed into the pool has captivated online audiences, showcasing their carefree excitement. Some dogs gracefully entered via stairs, while others opted for playful belly flops.

Maintaining pool hygiene with so many playful pups is a daily challenge. Langley and her team dedicate an hour each morning to cleaning and rely on powerful filters to maintain water clarity around the clock.

Beyond the pool, Lucky Puppy offers expansive amenities, including two three-acre playgrounds and seven acres of nature trails. After a day of play, dogs can unwind in personal bedrooms with soothing music and blankets.
