Bulldog Franklin’s Unusual Passion: A Love for Holes (VIDEO)
Caitlin’s Bulldog, Franklin, brought a unique charm to their home. Known as her “helper,” Franklin had a knack for being more of a distraction than a true assistant. Despite this, his presence was a beloved part of their lives for over a year and a half.
Franklin, with his exuberant personality, transformed Caitlin’s world. His enthusiasm for participating in every activity and staying close to his favorite human was endearing.

Franklin’s fascination with holes began during a day of yard work. As Caitlin and her family dug a drainage ditch, Franklin noticed their focus and decided to join in.
He plopped right into the ditch, making himself home in the trench. This behavior marked the start of his obsession with holes.
Whether large or small, Franklin had a penchant for fitting any part of himself into holes. He never took on digging himself but eagerly awaited others to create the perfect hole for him.
His routine was well-established: Franklin knew it was time to get involved when Caitlin brought home plants in plastic containers. Often, he would jump into a hole before it was fully dug.
Franklin also enjoyed a close relationship with Cooper, an 11-year-old Boxer. Despite being younger, Franklin and Cooper shared a similar energy level.
While Cooper adored her younger companion, Franklin’s antics could sometimes be a bit much.
Franklin was her constant shadow as Caitlin worked from home. He would either nap under her desk or on the chair behind her.
Gardening was another activity he loved to participate in, although his favorite pastime was riding in the boat, even though he wasn’t fond of swimming. Caitlin and her family felt incredibly fortunate to have Franklin in their lives.
