Rescued Dog Enjoys First Cheeseburger After Six Years in a Crate

Angelica lived alongside another dog named Spud, but they were housed in separate enclosures and never interacted.

Despite the unpleasant conditions, Stacey was determined to help. To her surprise, both dogs responded to their rescue with affection rather than aggression.

Angelica and Spud were both grateful for their rescue. While Spud was soon adopted, thanks to his better condition, Angelica posed more of a challenge.

Amy Creels from Knine Rescue Inc. took on the task of caring for Angelica, who required rehabilitation for her weakened back legs.

Amy was astonished by the immediate trust Angelica showed toward humans. During one of their outings, Amy treated Angelica to a hamburger, a first for the grateful dog. Angelica began to thrive alongside her new rope toy and a cozy bed.

Visiting the park revealed Angelica’s friendly nature as she eagerly interacted with other dogs and their owners. Her charming behavior led to her adoption by a new family.
