Paul and Alice Johnston recently moved to the area and have dedicated their lives to rescuing dogs. Previously, they ran a dog shelter in Costa Rica, where they cared for many animals.
When they relocated to Florida, they brought several of these rescued dogs with them. However, they soon realized that walking or transporting many dogs individually was impractical.
The Johnstons devised an ingenious solution to solve this challenge: they built a dog train. Using a lawnmower, Paul pulls the train along the streets while Alice follows behind to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the dogs.
The sight of this dog train has become a local favorite, drawing smiles and admiration from the community.
The inspiration for their dog train came from a similar project in Texas, where a man had created a dog train for his rescue dogs.
Each Friday, the Johnstons’ dog train, filled with happy and excited dogs, travels through the neighborhood, with the dogs barking in unison to express their enthusiasm for their weekly adventure.
