Stray Dog Finds a New Home After a Long Journey
Libby and Zach live on a secluded 200-acre property in Arkansas, far from neighbors. One day, as Zach approached their home, he spotted something unusual on the porch and thought it might be a bear.
As he drew closer, Zach realized it was a dog wagging its tail. Recognizing that the animal appeared ill, he texted Libby to inform her about the “giant dog” on her mother’s porch.
The couple faced a dilemma: either help the dog or let it continue wandering without survival.
They decided to take the dog in, giving it a much-needed bath. The dog was dehydrated, disoriented, and had mobility issues.
Libby and Zach took the dog to the vet, expecting it to be a senior. However, they learned he was likely around eight years old and called him Turbo.
Libby’s mother posted Turbo’s photo on social media, hoping to find his original owner, but no one came forward, and even the vet had never seen him. It became clear to Libby and Zach that Turbo had found a new family with them.
Over the next ten days, Turbo underwent medical treatment and gradually improved. Once healthy, Turbo could run and play alongside Ava, the couple’s other dog. Although Turbo and Ava didn’t hit it off immediately, they eventually became good companions.
