Senior Dog Rescued Just in Time by Kindhearted Rescuers

While driving along a busy road, Howl of a Dog rescuers spotted a stray dog needing help. The black dog initially barked at the rescuers, but his defensive stance soon gave way to curiosity.

Approaching the dog carefully, the rescuers could see that he was both wary and relieved to have been found. They offered him some food, which he eagerly accepted.

The dog was dangerously close to the road, so the rescuers were careful not to startle him, fearing he might dart into traffic.

By feeding him first, they slowly gained his trust. They gently slipped a leash over his head when the moment felt right. They named him Mowgli, after the character who navigates a vast jungle.

Mowgli was lucky to be rescued just before a heavy rainstorm hit. Once he arrived at the Howl of a Dog shelter, he was released from his cage.

Initially, he hesitated, standing awkwardly with his hind legs still inside the cage while the rest of his body was free. But soon, Mowgli decided to regain his trust in humans, and this time, his faith was rewarded.

Mowgli still exhibited some survival instincts, such as saving treats for later. Now about eight years old, he remains at the Howl of a Dog shelter in Romania.
