Walter the Boxer Dog: The Grumpy Grandpa Who Loves His Family
When Kayla and her husband moved to Florida, they decided to add a furry member to their family.
That’s when they met Walter White, a lovable Boxer dog whose previous owners had surrendered to a shelter.
Walter was in rough shape when Kayla first rescued him—skinny and suffering from kennel cough. However, with proper care and attention, he soon blossomed into a healthy and happy dog.
But it didn’t take long for Kayla and her husband to notice something unique about Walter’s personality.
Walter’s family affectionately describes him as “a grumpy old man stuck in a dog’s body.” He has a habit of sitting on the couch with his chest puffed out, giving everyone around him what can only be described as a judgmental stare.
Much like a watchful grandpa, Walter keeps an eye on everything around him. Eventually, he drifts off to sleep wherever he’s seated, and Kayla says it’s like watching him slowly melt into the chair.
Walter resumes his vigilant observation when he wakes up, ensuring everyone is on their best behavior.
In every room of his home and his in-laws’ house, Walter has claimed a special chair as his own, and he doesn’t appreciate anyone else trying to sit there.
Walter is determined not to miss a thing. He follows his humans around the house and eagerly greets them when they return home.
Despite his grumpy demeanor, his short tail wags energetically whenever he hears the door open, signaling the return of his beloved owners.
Though Kayla and her husband don’t have human children, Walter and their other dog bring plenty of joy and love into their lives.
Despite his quirky and somewhat grumpy personality, Walter is a cherished member of the family who adores his humans.
