A Heartwarming Bond: Golden Retriever’s Adorable Care for Baby Brother
A touching video showcases the endearing relationship between a Golden Retriever named Hinckley and his new baby brother, Theodore.
Whitney Parks, a 37-year-old resident of Boston, shared the story of how Hinckley, their one-year-old Golden Retriever, has developed a deep connection with Theodore, born in October 2020.
At first, Hinckley, accustomed to being the center of attention, mistook Theodore for a new plaything.
The heartwarming photo of Theodore with his father, Rob, and Hinckley captures this early misunderstanding.
However, Hinckley didn’t take long to recognize Theodore as a permanent family member.
Whitney, who works in communications, explained that Theodore initially fascinated Hinckley, treating him as a new toy.
In the first few nights, Hinckley vigilantly watched Theodore as he slept, fascinated by the new addition to their home.
Over time, Hinckley adjusted to the reality that Theodore was here to stay and became increasingly involved in Theodore’s daily activities.
Today, the two can often be seen snuggling together on the couch or floor, especially during “tummy time.”
Whitney noted that Hinckley’s understanding of Theodore’s permanent presence took a few days to settle in. A charming photo shows Theodore and Hinckley enjoying each other’s company.
Hinckley has since embraced his role, participating in Theodore’s feedings and even playfully sneaking off with Theodore’s dirty burp cloth, much to Whitney’s amusement.
During feeding times, Theodore snuggles on Whitney’s left side while Hinckley settles on her right. This arrangement has become a cherished routine, fostering a special bond among the trio.
Whitney is delighted by Hinckley’s evolving role as a protective older brother and eagerly anticipates the future adventures that Theodore and Hinckley will share as they grow up together.
Whitney’s heart melts, seeing Hinckley step into his role as Theodore’s guardian. She looks forward to the days when Theodore and Hinckley can interact more and become best friends.
The bond between them is evident in the photos and stories shared by Whitney, who is thrilled about the joyful moments that lie ahead.
