Woman’s Rescue Dog Quacks Instead of Barks (VIDEO)
When Pipsqueak, a tiny rescue dog, first arrived at his foster home, veterinarians estimated he had just six months to live. Remarkably, eight years later, he still thrived with the same couple who took him in.
Kelsey and her partner had recently relocated from Wisconsin to Indiana when they decided to foster Pipsqueak. “It was meant to be a temporary arrangement, but we quickly became attached,” Kelsey explained.

Pipsqueak’s past in a puppy mill had left him with several challenges, including his small size of just 1.8 pounds and genetic issues that affected his mobility.
Despite knowing Pipsqueak’s time might be limited, Kelsey and her partner were dedicated to providing him with a fulfilling life.
Pipsqueak’s uniqueness extended beyond his physical condition. “We say she barks like a duck, but she quacks at us,” Kelsey noted.
The adoption of Pipsqueak significantly impacted Kelsey and her partner’s lives. “Her arrival set off a series of events we hadn’t anticipated,” Kelsey said. “Since then, we’ve adopted six more small dogs, each with special needs or behavioral challenges.”
Kelsey and her partner’s unwavering dedication has given these animals the care and love they deserve. “It’s all worth it,” Kelsey added.
