Two adorable kittens, Livvy and Huxley, are inseparable companions with an inspiring spirit. Born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a condition affecting balance and coordination, the pair have overcome challenges to thrive in their foster home.

Livvy, a calico, and her tabby brother Huxley arrived at their foster home with their littermates, hoping for a brighter future.

Despite their wobbly movements due to CH, they are full of life and energy. Their foster caregiver, Kris Kaiser, who specializes in looking after kittens with similar conditions, helped nurse them back to health with special care and attention.

Though small in size, Livvy and Huxley had a strong will to survive, never missing a meal and steadily growing stronger. With a nutritious diet and plenty of care, the kittens began making progress, moving around and playing with enthusiasm, unaffected by their lack of coordination.

Kaiser explained to Love Meow that Livvy and Huxley are just like any other playful kittens. Despite their frequent tumbles, they continue to move around confidently and enjoy life. Most cats with CH tend to improve as they grow older, gaining muscle tone and learning to adapt.

Livvy and Huxley have developed a strong bond, especially after their siblings were adopted. The two are rarely apart, whether it’s chasing toys, seeking attention from their humans, or curling up together for a nap. They even share their favorite toys and navigate their environment with ease, thanks to the help of stairs, ramps, and soft carpets.

Huxley is the more wobbly of the two but also the most determined. If he falls during play, he gets right back up to try again. His spirit and resilience are remarkable, making their bond even more heartwarming.

The pair keep each other entertained, learn from one another, and help burn off energy. According to Kris, regular exercise has helped them build strength, and their muscle development seems to ease their symptoms, allowing them to get around better.

Now, Livvy and Huxley are waiting for their forever home. Kris believes whoever adopts them will be incredibly fortunate, describing them as a loving, sweet duo that will bring endless joy to their new family.
