Charming Portraits Capture Dogs in Slovakia’s Fields
Photographer Veronika Shandor has captured heartwarming portraits of dogs in the picturesque fields of Slovakia, showcasing breeds like Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Dalmatians.
Among her delightful shots are two Border Collies snuggling amidst vibrant flowers, a scene that perfectly embodies canine affection.
One standout image features a Dalmatian peeking through a cluster of blooms, making direct eye contact with the camera.
Another endearing moment shows a seven-year-old Border Collie resting its chin on a colorful petal bed.
Many portraits depict playful pups joyfully leaping through the flowers, tongues out in sheer delight.
Shandor, an award-winning photographer based in Bratislava, shared her passion for capturing the authentic nature of dogs. “I love it when dogs are natural and enjoy the photo shoot,” she explained.
She prioritizes the comfort of her canine subjects, ensuring they have fun during the process. While some sessions may take longer to secure the ideal shot, others wrap up in just minutes.
In April, Shandor received recognition in the domesticated animal category at the international FEP awards.
She also credits her two Border Collies—a blue merle and a red merle—as her beloved partners in crime and excellent models for her photography.
