Rescued: A Mother Dog and Her Puppies Find Hope

A recent rescue mission by Abrigo Animais Aumigos brought hope to a mother dog named Paola and her three puppies.

The family was discovered lying on open ground, clearly exhausted and in distress. Paola, the mother, was unable to feed her puppies, which left them all in a dire situation.

The rescuers found Paola and her puppies in poor condition, indicating they had been without food for some time.

The mother dog was too weak from hunger to care for her young, who were also suffering from severe malnutrition. The entire family appeared listless and frail.

Immediately, the rescuers provided Paola with food and transported the family to a veterinary clinic. At the clinic, it was revealed that they were covered in ticks and severely malnourished.

The vet assessed that two puppies were in slightly better shape than the third, so the healthier ones were separated to ensure proper care.

At the rescue center, the family received a nutritious diet tailored to their needs. Due to Paola’s tight stomach, she was fed slowly, focusing on high-protein foods to help her regain strength.

Paola’s condition improved within three days, allowing her to start feeding and caring for her puppies. By the tenth day, all four had gained weight and showed significant health improvements.

As Paola grew stronger, she became more trusting of her rescuers and could move around independently.

After nearly two months of dedicated care, Paola was fully recovered. Loving families adopted her puppies, and Paola began a new chapter of happiness.
