A kitten named Batty, known for her “perpetual surprised” expression, is winning hearts daily. She arrived at the Chris Griffey Memorial Feline Foundation after her rescuers noticed something unique about her nose and decided to seek help.

According to her foster mom, Kimberly, Batty has a cleft nose, characterized by a split that causes her nostrils to be spaced apart. While some kittens with this condition may also have a cleft palate, Batty does not.

From the moment she arrived, Batty made a significant impression. Despite her small size, she was determined to embrace life.

She quickly learned to eat from a dish, devouring her food enthusiastically, which helped her gain weight and strength.

Batty loves being carried around in a pocket, keeping close to her humans as they go about their day. She shuffles around like a delightful little fur ball with her round body and tiny legs.

“She is so fluffy that she looks like a little ball,” Kimberly noted. “She enjoys playing with the other kittens, has glorious whiskers, and loves watching Bird TV on YouTube.”

Batty possesses a strong personality, believing she is much larger than her size, which is reflected in her expressive face. Her endearing “surprised” look captivates everyone who meets her.

Described as a very affectionate kitten, Batty loves to be held and will roll over for belly rubs whenever she is touched. With a caring foster family and other kittens to play with, her adventurous spirit is flourishing.

Batty zooms around the house, exploring every corner and often leading her fellow kittens in playful antics.

One moment, she can be seen tumbling through the living room with a playmate; the next, she’s investigating the bathroom, fascinated by the porcelain tub.

After a playful session, Batty enjoys cuddling and becomes a cozy snuggle bug. While playtime is essential to her, nothing beats the comfort of curling up with her foster mom during naptime, relishing her human’s soothing touch and heartbeat.

Her fearless nature ensures she gets what she wants, never taking “no” for an answer. Recently, Batty accompanied her foster mom on errands, bravely demanding attention from the drive-thru window as if placing her order.

Now fully embracing her boisterous kitten phase, Batty zips around like a blur, stopping her human for attention with her surprised expression.

After a challenging start, she finally lives her dream and enjoys all the cuddles she could ever want.
