It’s a heartbreaking reality, but many dogs are abandoned to fend for themselves on the streets. Recently, a group of animal lovers encountered a severely neglected dog struggling on the sidewalk.

Despite her exhaustion and difficulty moving due to her swollen belly, the dog approached everyone, pleading for help.

As they drew closer, they realized she was heavily pregnant. Upon inspecting her, they discovered a note from her former owner tied around her neck.

The message revealed that the owner could no longer care for her or her unborn puppies, leaving her to fend for herself.

A Heartbreaking Abandonment

This once-loved mother dog had lived in a warm home until her pregnancy became too much for her owner to handle.

Touched by her plight, the rescuers acted swiftly. They took her to a veterinarian, where they discovered she was carrying 11 puppies and would give birth in just a few days.

Due to her poor health from malnutrition, the vet recommended she stay at the hospital for immediate care. The rescuers received instructions on how to care for her once she was discharged.

Preparing for New Arrivals

Back at her new home, the rescuers prepared everything she would need: a big bed, a warm blanket, and lots of love. They wanted her to feel safe and comfortable as she prepared to give birth.

Five days later, the big moment arrived. Early in the morning, five puppies were born, bringing immense joy despite the mother dog’s exhaustion.

Her newborns gave her the strength to continue. Five more puppies had been born by the afternoon, and the final puppy arrived by 8 pm, completing the family of 11.

Caring for the New Family

Although the puppies were healthy and eating well, the mother dog couldn’t produce enough milk for all of them.

Once again, the rescuers stepped in, providing nutritious milk to supplement her supply. This allowed the mother dog to rest and recuperate in her cozy bed.

The rescuers worked tirelessly to clean and feed the puppies every two hours. Despite their busy lives, they dedicated their time to ensuring the puppies thrived.

Each visit to the resting mother dog was met with joy as she showered them with kisses and eagerly reunited with her babies.

Growing Up with Love

The puppies proliferated with the loving care of their mother and rescuers. In a few weeks, they were bigger and began transitioning from their mother’s milk.

After 50 days, they were ready for new adventures, having experienced a puppyhood filled with love and attention.

The mother dog, now healthy and happy, found strength in the joy of her puppies. Their bright eyes and playful spirits greatly rewarded her and her rescuers. From abandonment to a heartwarming new beginning, this story showcases the power of compassion and love.
