Protective Family Dog Shields Toddler from Vacuum Cleaner

Pet dogs often make excellent companions and guardians for young children, as demonstrated in many heartwarming instances.

Recently, a father was working on his laptop in the living room while his toddler was playing nearby.

Their two dogs, Mocha, a Pomeranian-Spitz mix, and Wooyoo, a Samoyed, relaxed on the couch with him.

After finishing his work, the father rewarded the dogs with their favorite treats before deciding to tidy up the area before his wife returned.

He put away his laptop and picked up his toddler’s toys, with Mocha and Wooyoo observing from the couch.

As he organized the pillows and sat near his toddler, the father also rubbed Wooyoo’s belly, which the dog appreciated by licking his hands. The toddler, in her walker, responded with joyful jumps.

When it was time to vacuum, the father placed his baby in an automatic swing and securely strapped her in.

Wooyoo moved to a safe distance as he began vacuuming the couch while Mocha, initially resting on the backrest, ran away from the approaching vacuum.

Throughout the cleaning, Wooyoo stood protectively beside the baby as if guarding her from the vacuum cleaner.

Mocha, concerned for the toddler’s safety, returned to check on her before leaving again and reassured them that she was fine.

Despite their common fear of vacuum cleaners, Wooyoo remained vigilant next to the baby, ensuring the vacuum stayed at a distance. The father reassured Wooyoo that the toddler was safe and that the vacuum posed no threat.

After finishing the vacuuming, the father returned to the couch and rewarded both dogs with additional treats for their good behavior. He was especially proud of Wooyoo for overcoming her fear and standing by her sister to protect her.
