Dog’s Desperate Cries Alert Neighbors, Saving Her and Her Unborn Puppies
A neglected dog, deprived of food and water for days, was finally rescued thanks to her persistent cries for help.
The dog, trapped by her owner, barked so loudly that neighbors became concerned and reported the situation to local authorities.
With the assistance of local police, members of eBay Bel Ercum, a local animal rescue organization that cares for nearly 30 dogs and cats, stepped in to rescue the emaciated dog. After enduring years of neglect, she was given her first thorough health check and bath.
The initial steps included removing ticks from her ears and placing her in a separate room to begin her recovery.
During a comprehensive medical examination, the veterinarian conducted a detailed blood test and confirmed that she was pregnant. Although weak, her overall health was stable.
In the days following, the dog continued to receive care, including vaccinations and an X-ray to check on her unborn puppies. She gained 1.4 kilograms during this period, showing signs of improvement.
As she neared the end of her pregnancy, veterinarians, concerned about her low weight, transferred her to the hospital to ensure a safe delivery. Fortunately, the birth went smoothly, and she gave birth to three healthy puppies.
The once-neglected dog has become more trusting and affectionate, showing remarkable resilience and sweetness in her recovery.
