Bringing new life into the world is often a challenging journey, and for one stray dog, it became a remarkable story of resilience and hope.

This Chihuahua faced incredible odds when a speeding car struck her in the street. At the time of the accident, she was pregnant, and the collision severely injured her left rear leg.

To make matters worse, her water broke shortly after the incident, putting her in a precarious situation.

Fortunately, the dog was rescued and taken to Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue, where she received the medical care she desperately needed.

Due to complications from the injury and the size of her puppy, a cesarean section was performed.

Tragically, her damaged leg had to be amputated, but the new mother and her puppy emerged safe.

Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue shared her inspiring story on Facebook, stating, “These are little miracles!” They highlighted her journey from living as a stray to facing a life-threatening situation, demonstrating her fighting spirit.

After over four months of recovery, the brave Chihuahua, now named Xena, has found her forever home.
