The inseparable pair, constantly seen hugging each other, have become a social media sensation.

In one heartwarming photo, the older puppy gently holds his friend in his paws near a temple shrine, almost as if guarding him.

Another picture shows one of the puppies sitting calmly next to a Buddhist statue as if meditating alongside the nuns.

The two dogs were found abandoned on the streets before being taken in by the temple, where they were given a second chance at life.

Their story has gone viral, with hundreds of comments flooding social media platforms like Weibo, where users shared their love for the pair. “Now that they’re in the temple, they should meditate like the nuns,” one user joked.

Others expressed anger toward the puppies’ former owners for leaving them on the streets. “If you can’t care for a dog, you shouldn’t get one!” one person wrote.

However, the puppies’ heartwarming story also sparked some controversy online. According to a Twitter post, a monk from Bao Hua Son Temple in Khanh Hoa province had rescued the dogs.

Mira Eleonora Pantazopol Loredanescu, a linguist from Bucharest, painted a less cheerful picture. She claimed the puppies were born at the temple and taught to stand and hug each other for photos.

Using her Facebook account, she raised concerns about the well-being of the animals, suggesting they receive little to no veterinary care at the temple.

Despite the conflicting narratives, these two pups have brought attention to the plight of abandoned animals, reminding us of the importance of compassion and responsible pet ownership.
