Stray Dog Found Pregnant With 11 Puppies Is Rescued Just in Time

A heavily pregnant dog left to fend for herself on the streets was rescued by a group of caring animal lovers, changing her fate forever.

The exhausted dog was struggling to move and had a note around her neck explaining that her owner abandoned her because they couldn’t take care of her and her unborn puppies.

After reading the note, the rescuers rushed the dog to a veterinarian, where it was confirmed that she was carrying 11 puppies and was due to give birth within a few days.

The rescuers knew they had to act quickly to ensure her safety and her puppies’ health, so they brought her to a temporary home with a warm bed and all the supplies needed for her comfort.

Five days later, the first puppies began to arrive. Though visibly tired, the mother dog was filled with joy as she saw her first five babies.

Five more puppies were born throughout the day, bringing the total to ten. The final puppy came later that evening, completing the happy family of 11 newborns.

However, feeding all 11 puppies was challenging, as the mother dog didn’t have enough milk.

The rescuers stepped in with supplemental milk and took on the task of feeding the puppies every two hours.

They cleaned them, ensured they were warm, and ensured the dog was comfortable as she recovered from giving birth.

The rescuers were overjoyed by the scene of the reunited family. The mother dog couldn’t contain her excitement, wagging her tail and kissing everyone. The puppies thrived with the additional care and proliferated.

After 50 days, they were big enough to start their adventure, while their mother was again healthy and happy.
