Meet Paningning: The Adorable Shih Tzu Puppy Who Sleeps Like a Human

It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t love puppies. They’re adorable, fluffy, and the perfect companions for late-night walks or snuggling on the couch.

Among the cutest is Paningning, a Shih Tzu puppy who has captured the hearts of dog lovers worldwide with her unique sleeping position and charming personality.

Paningning’s claim to fame came when her owner, Janess Cua, posted photos of the puppy on Facebook in the “Dog lovers of the Philippines” group.

The images went viral, showcasing the little Shih Tzu lying on her back with her belly exposed like a tiny human napping.

Her adorable antics quickly gained a massive following, and her Instagram page, now managed by Cua, boasts over 55,000 followers.

Paningning’s unusual sleeping position isn’t just for show—it’s how she’s most comfortable. According to her owner, “That is her sleeping position since birth because it’s how she feels most comfortable.”

While most of Paningning’s viral photos showcase her in a relaxed state, she is just as playful and energetic as any other puppy when awake, running around with her siblings and causing mischief.

Paningning is the youngest of Cua’s dog Baobei’s litter and the only tri-colored one. At just three months old, she has already gained much attention on social media.

Interestingly, her Instagram page was initially created by a fan. Still, as her popularity grew, it was handed over to Cua, who continues to upload photos and videos of the puppy’s adorable moments. The account’s success has even led to a Paningning merchandise line!

Despite her viral fame, Paningning is still just a regular puppy. Cua mentions that Panning never sleeps in any other position and is often mischievous like any other young dog. “For me, she’s just a normal puppy that loves to sleep on her back,” she says.
