Abandoned Dog Found Waiting in the Rain Finds Hope in a New Family
While driving through South Carolina in a downpour, Angela Simmons saw a sad, familiar face peering at her through her foggy window. This was the dog she had been looking for.
Earlier, residents of a nearby trailer park told Simmons about a puppy left tied to an old couch by the roadside.
The sight confirmed that the dog had been neglected, with signs of itching on his nose and paws. But even after his harsh treatment, he still radiated affection.
With support from the auction organization Inforacuse, the puppy was soon named Murphy and placed in foster care. In his new environment, Murphy quickly adapted to the love and security of a family home.
“From the moment he entered, he showed himself to be a true love bug,” said a Kos team member who documented Murphy’s journey.
Murphy thrived in foster care, enjoying simple pleasures like snuggling under blankets, car rides, and soaking up the sun. His friendly and bright personality charmed everyone he met.
“He’s very smart, loves other dogs, and has excellent manners,” noted one of his caregivers. Now, Murphy is participating in a family trial, where he’s one step closer to finding the lasting home he deserves.
Once an abandoned puppy tied to an old couch, he’s now on the path to love and community.
